Geocaching Habitat Hike!
Curecanti National Recreation Area

These students are Advanced Junior Rangers at Curecanti National Recreation Area. For seven weeks during the summer, they take part in hands-on science activities and nature exploration. In this picture, they are using GPS units to find hidden geocaches. Each cache is associated with a specific animal and its habitat. Their goal is to find all six caches and solve the mystery at each one. This pair of students was the first to complete the activity, and they even spotted a beaver and a mule deer along their route!
